Wash Off Cleanser

Papaya Oil

Papaya seed oil is extracted from the seed of the papaya fruit (paw paw). It is rich in the omega 6 and 9 essential fatty acids, vitamins A and C and Potassium. It’s oleic acid levels are very similar to that of olive oil so it oil is very stable with a long shelf life (2-3 years). Papaya seed oil is easily absorbed and adds excellent conditioning properties to the skin. It also contains the enzyme papain, which helps dissolve excess sebum and impurities on the skin, gently removes dead skin cells and can be used on oily or problem skin. It has antibiotic properties and may benefit skin irritations.

Sweet Almond Oil

Sweet Almond oil is one of the most used carrier oils in aromatherapy massage, and this is understandable since it has a fine texture, is easily absorbed, and helps to leave the skin soft and satiny smooth yet it is non-greasy and easily absorbed. Rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. An ideal basic carrier oil, nourishing and protecting to the skin. Calms skin irritation. Can be used on its own or with other carrier oils. Good keeping qualities as it contains vitamin E.

Castor Oil

Used mainly for hair conditions such as dry, brittle, damaged hair or hair loss. This is a very thick oil with a prominent odour. High in ricin oleic acid with a high viscosity, this oil acts as a humectant by attracting and holding moisture to the skin.

Lavender Hydrosol

This hydrolat is a natural by-product of the steam distillation process of Certified Organic Lavender flowers after the Essential Oil has been separated. It is an excellent skin cleanser and toner. 

Cocoa Butter

The moisturising abilities of cocoa butter are often recommended for prevention of stretch marks in pregnant women, treatment of chapped skin and lips, and as a daily moisturizer to prevent dry, itchy skin. Cocoa butter melts at close to body temperature, making it an ideal choice for inclusion in salves and body butters as well as bath melts.

Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a humectant and moisturiser. It is an alcohol that occurs naturally in many types of fruit and berries. It is chemically synthesised from starch and glucose. It is suitable for all skin types and has a velvety feeling on the skin.

Vitamin E

This product is a viscous liquid vitamin E, widely used as an antioxidant in soaps and cosmetics and is derived from Soybean Oil.   Due to its fat-soluble nature, vitamin E is able to penetrate deep into your skin to help preserve lipids (fats) and soothe your skin. If your skin has any cracks, vitamin E’s “healing” benefits will set to work to close those cracks to help prevent any moisture from escaping. This further helps to keep your skin lovely and hydrated!

AHA Natural Fruit Acid

It is a blend of alpha hydroxy acids extracted from blueberries, sugarcane, oranges, lemons, and sugar maple. The extraction process reduces colour and odour and concentrates the active principles. The extracts are then blended and concentrated even further by vacuum distillation.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Ylang ylang essential oil comes from flower petals of the large, tropical ylang ylang tree. Ylang ylang oil also boasts hydrating and conditioning properties while imparting powerful antioxidant actions to defend against damaging free radicals and premature ageing. Collectively, this powerhouse of effects greatly improves the complexion and promotes a natural healthy glow.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender Essential Oil distilled from lavandula angustifolia, sometimes known as 'true' or 'English' lavender. Lavender oil gently moisturizes skin, and is non-comedogenic for pores. Lavender oil is naturally antibacterial, meaning that it kills acne-causing bacteria that might infiltrate your pores. This makes the purple flower perfect for preventing, calming, and healing painful acne breakouts.

MF Emulsifier

A creamy white powder with a very faint odour made from combining non dairy lactic acid with stearic acid. The lactic acid is derived by using bacteria such as Bacillus Acidilacti, Lactobacillus Delbueckii or Lactobacillus Bulgaricus to ferment carbohydrates from non dairy sources such as cornstarch, potatoes and molasses. It does not function as a stand alone emulsifier and needs to be used in combination with VE Emulsifier and Cetearyl Alcohol. It makes very stable creams and lotions.

VE Emulsifier

An off white coloured powder that resembles coarse grains. It has a naturally, slight sweet smell.  It does not function as a stand alone emulsifier and needs to be used in combination with MF Emulsifier and Cetearyl Alcohol. It makes very stable creams and lotions.

Preservative 12

A versatile and effective, broad spectrum preservative suitable for leave-on and rinse-off formulations. It is palm-free, formaldehyde-free, vegan and biodegradable.

Day Cream

Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot Kernel Oil absorbs slowly without leaving a greasy residue. It is suitable for all types of skin including babies and especially mature skin due to its emollient, nourishing and revitalising properties. Suitable for use on sensitive skin and can be used when treating inflamed skin. Due to the polyphenols content, it supports the protective barrier of the skin, improves skin elasticity and tones.

Avocado Oil

Unrefined Avocado oil contains palmitoleic acid which is an excellent fatty acid supplement for mature skin care, contains vitamin A, B, & E, amino acids and phospholipid lecithin.  Texture wise, this unrefined oil is heavy and lends a waxy fatty feel to the skin. It penetrates deeply into the skin.

Camelia Seed Oil

Camellia seed oil, also known as tea seed oil is actually green tea oil. It comes from the seeds of Camellia Oleifera, the plant from which all the tea is made. Tea seed oil is wonderful for cooking and can be applied to the face, neck and hands. It has excellent skin and hair conditioning properties and has skin restructuring and moisturising abilities.

Black Seed Oil

A yellow to greeny brown oil with a strong odour that is best masked with essential oils. Obtained by pressing the seeds of the Nigella Sativa plant, it is also known as Black Caraway Seed Oil.  It contains thymoquinone which is a very powerful antioxidant that has proven results.

Green Coffee Oil

As these beans have not been roasted there is no impact from heat processing, leaving all the nutrients in their purest form, being higher in nutrients, fatty acids and vitamins. A high level of chromogenic acid, making it a super antioxidant- boosting moisture retention & rapid skin penetration. Plenty of phytosterols & a fatty acid profile, which both boost moisture retention & rapid skin penetration. A highly moisturising oil which is easily absorbed. Aids damaged & wrinkled skin, helping balance the moisture levels. Increases natural production of collagen and elastin with the extra high concentration of essential fatty acids, sterols, Vitamin E, and antioxidants spurring the skin’s natural production into overdrive.

Frankincense Hydrosol

A hydrolat which is made by steam distillation of the resin gum of the Boswellia Carterii plant. It tones the skin and calms the mind. Frankincense is a humectant, it holds moisture in the skin and an astringent which helps to tighten the skin.

Coenzyme Q10

CoQ10 works to block tyrosinase, which helps with the production of melanin, which means that CoQ10 can help fade and prevent dark spots. More energized skin cells mean healthier skin cells. Adding CoQ10 to your skincare may allow your cells to better utilize other nutrients, leading to healthier skin overall.  Since CoQ10 aids in cell activity, it also means that your cells can be more efficient in flushing out toxins like free radicals and healing the damage they cause.  This ingredient helps your body produce collagen and elastin, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Wu Zhu Extract

A Chinese fruit extract that quickly illuminates and brightens dull and lifeless skin making it look brighter and more healthy. It’s an anti-inflammatory powerhouse, known to soothe irritated, sensitive skin and reduce redness. It even reduces skin’s sensitivity to environmental stressors and pollution. Furthermore, studies have found that components in Evodia Rutaecarpa decrease melanin content, so it has the ability to brighten skin, improve texture by reducing the appearance of age spots, discoloration, and other pigmentation conditions.

Eco Marine Algae Extract

It is a powerful ingredient in anti aging products due to its nourishing effect.  A yellow to orange, oily liquid with very little odour.  It is highly concentrated in carotenoids, essential fatty acids and sterols that has an impressive effect on the skin.

Vegetal

An excellent, eco friendly emulsifier for all skin types including sensitive skin and babies. The emulsifier enhances the hydration of the skin and enables actives to be absorbed into the skin more effectively.

Day Serum

Kiwi Seed Oil

Kiwi seed oil has one of the highest contents of essential fatty acids such as linolenic acid and alpha-linolenic acid of all the oils. Therefore, making it a wonderful moisturizing and nourishing oil. Kiwi seed oil is especially good when used to help treat dry, aging, and damaged skin.

Perilla Seed Oil

This lesser known oil is a fine, ‘dry’ oil that is easily absorbed into the skin.  High amounts of the skin-loving omega-3 essential fatty acid and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, and anti-allergic qualities due to being naturally rich in polyphenols. Beneficial to all skin types from anti-ageing through to sun damaged skin. Perilla seed oil is a wonderful addition to facial oil and serum formulations for ageing skin and problematic skin.

Evening Primrose Oil

The oil is found in the plant's seeds and is high in the essential fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). EPO is used primarily to relieve the itchiness associated with certain skin conditions (such as eczema and dermatitis).

Blueberry Seed Oil

This oil is light and grease less which absorbs quickly into skin.  High amounts  of tocopherols, carotenoids and natural antioxidants. High Omega-3 content makes the skin glow and look more youthful. Naturally occurring Vitamin A makes it very regenerative for damaged or blemished skin. Natural vitamin E makes the skin plump & firm.  Suitable for all skin types. Excellent to use on sensitive skin and oily skin as it reduces large pores, perfect for mature, damaged and sensitive skin due to its anti-ageing, restorative and protective abilities.

Sea Buckthorn Oil

Sea Buckthorn oil is a very rich source of vitamins and minerals, especially in vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotenes, flavanoids, and other bioactive compounds. It increases the capability of the body's immune-system and can prevent vitamin A deficiency in the body. Also has an antibacterial action; inhibits the growth of staphylococci and other bacteria.

Plum Kernel Oil

Plum Kernel Oil is rich in Vitamin A, E, oleic acid, linoleic acid, and anti-oxidants, it is beneficial for dry and mature skin types and is often used in lip balms, moisturising creams, anti-wrinkle agents, cleansing lotions and massage creams. Its emollient properties bring nourishment and hydration to damaged skin and renew the complexion and maintain healthy cells. The feeling on the skin is very soft and plum oil penetrates the skin easily with no greasy residue.

Cranberry Seed Oil

Cranberry seed oil is rich in tocotrienols and tocopherols which are the two groups of molecules that make up Vitamin E as well as other important antioxidants. Studies have found that this oil contains the highest amount of tocotrienols than that found in any other vegetable oil. Omega 3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids, not found in any other oil, are also unique to cranberry seed oil. It is rich in Vitamin A and has a very stable shelf life. Because cranberry seed oil penetrates the skin easily, it is highly nourishing and moisturising, leaving a light, non-greasy feeling and is widely used in anti-aging beauty products.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil helps promote healing of the skin in many ways. It has antimicrobial properties, which means it actually discourages the growth of some bacterial and fungal microbes that attack the skin. In addition, the chemical composition of jojoba closely resembles that of the skin’s natural sebum, so it is easily absorbed and rarely causes allergic reactions, even in the most sensitive individuals.

Rosemary Antioxidant

A dark brown, very thick, oily liquid botanical extract from the dried leaves of the Rosemary plant using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction.  It has antioxidative properties (stops oils from going rancid so quickly). It is predominantly an antioxidant and should not be considered as a preservative at all.

Frankincense Essential Oil

The resin of Boswellia carterii, contains high levels of soothing aromatherapeutic compounds which have been found to enhance comfort in our bodies and joints, as well as for the health and beauty of our skin. The essential oil is derived from oleo gum resins from the tree, and as an essential oil, passes these properties to us. Frankincense is among the most widely used of all essential oils. It is revered for its powerfully uplifting and clarifying effects for the body and mind. Frankincense essential oil can easily be mixed with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or rosehip and applied to the skin, helping the body stay limber and relaxed. Frankincense oil is used in cosmetics to nourish dry and aging skin.
